The Dothan Fire Department recognizes the importance of working smoke alarms in the home. We have partnered with the American Red Cross and created the Smoke Alarm Program. This program provides smoke alarms and replacement batteries free of charge to residence of single-family dwellings who cannot afford to purchase them.
The Dothan Fire Department will install smoke alarms and batteries in residents located within the Dothan City Limits. This will ensure the alarms are properly installed and residents understand how to perform monthly tests.
Residence living in rental properties should contact their landlord or property owner for smoke alarms and batteries prior to contacting the Dothan Fire Department.
