We’ve got some fantastic news for the Dothan community! The Dothan Fire Department and the American Red Cross have joined forces to launch a groundbreaking initiative aimed at bolstering fire safety in our neighborhoods.

Introducing the Free Smoke Alarm Program! 🆓🔊

In a concerted effort to enhance the safety of our residents, the Dothan Fire Department and the American Red Cross have teamed up to provide FREE smoke alarms to households in need. These smoke alarms are crucial for early fire detection, giving families vital time to evacuate safely in the event of a fire emergency.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Reach Out: Residents can reach out to the Dothan Fire Department at 334-615-FIRE (3473) request their free smoke alarms or replacement batteries.

  2. Installation Assistance: Upon request, members of the Fire Department will visit your home to install the smoke alarms, ensuring they are properly placed for maximum effectiveness.

  3. Education & Support: In addition to installing the alarms, the program also offers educational and support to help families develop fire safety plans and understand the importance of fire preparedness.

This initiative underscores the commitment of both organizations to prioritize community safety and well-being. By working together, we can make a tangible difference in preventing fire-related tragedies and protecting the lives of our neighbors.

So, if you or someone you know could benefit from this program, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s work together to ensure that every home in Dothan is equipped with the necessary tools to stay safe from fire hazards. Together, we can make our community a safer place for all!
