Fire Station 3 serves as the Battalion Headquarters for the west side of Dothan, Alabama. Strategically located at 1502 Whatley Drive , this modern facility was completed in 2024, encompassing 13,015 square feet.

Designed to enhance the city’s emergency response capabilities, Station 3 features a three-engine apparatus bay, dedicated sleeping quarters for firefighters, a fully equipped kitchen, a welcoming dayroom, and functional office spaces.

The station houses multiple apparatus, including Engine 3, Truck 3, Battalion 2, and Gator 2, ensuring a comprehensive response to various emergencies.

Station 3 is also home to one of Dothan’s three Safe Haven Baby Boxes.

In September 2024, the Dothan Fire Department celebrated the opening of the new Station No. 3 with a ceremonial push-in event, honoring the tradition of placing new apparatus into service.
