Chief of Training/EMS/Safety
Chief Ash began her service with Dothan Fire Department in June 1994 as a firefighter assigned to Engine 1. While earning her paramedic license in June 1995 she spent the majority of her line service at Station 1. Once promoted to Captain, She served in the Training/Safety Division with fire based training and certifications as her primary responsibility. She was promoted to Battalion Chief in December 2008 filling the positions of Training/Safety Chief, Support Services Chief, and currently Operations Battalion Chief since that time. Along with her operational duties she is involved in multiple DFD committees including Fit to Fight, Going for the Gold, Wiregrass Public Safety Center project and serve as lead in the development of in-house promotional processes. Chief Ash is the mother of two awesome sons, William and Hunter. Her favorite activities to do outside of work is spending time with her boys as well as enjoy exercise and physical fitness.
