Operations Chief Battalion 1 B Shift

Chief Ash commenced her dedicated service with the Dothan Fire Department in June 1994, initially assuming the role of a firefighter stationed at Engine 1. In June 1995, she expanded her expertise by earning her paramedic license, concurrently spending the majority of her line service at Station 1. Following her promotion to Captain, she transitioned to the Training/Safety Division, where she took on fire-based training and certifications as her primary responsibility.

In December 2008, Chief Ash achieved the rank of Battalion Chief, stepping into various critical roles including Training/Safety Chief, Support Services Chief, and presently, Operations Battalion Chief. Throughout her tenure, she has been actively involved in multiple DFD committees, including Fit to Fight and Going for the Gold, and has played a pivotal role in initiatives such as the Wiregrass Public Safety Center project. Additionally, Chief Ash spearheads the development of in-house promotional processes, showcasing her commitment to organizational growth and excellence.

Beyond her operational duties, Chief Ash finds fulfillment in her role as a mother to two remarkable sons, William and Hunter. Outside of work, she cherishes moments spent with her boys and finds joy in activities centered around exercise and physical fitness.
